From May 18th to 20th, FIA Junior Rally Championship Rd.3 "Rally d' Italia Sardegna" will be held. Sardegna is in center of the Mediterranean, where the island is second biggest around this area and the sea side's total length is 1,849km.
Headquarter is placed at beautiful seaside town Olbia. Stages are gravel, and it runs through north part of Sardegna from beautiful resort Port Cervo. Basically it is warm sunny weather but it may rain in mountain area.
This round's stages were designed by famous co-driver Carlo Cassina. It is basically same as 2006, but on the Leg 3 Monte Nuragone will be the new stage. High speed stages, twisty mountain stages, slippery soft yet rough surface all the way has not been changed which will give tough times to the drivers.
Last year, Suzuki had hard time with puncture and machine trouble. But also marked top times in many of the stages. The result will surely be there if the car will make it to the finish line. P-G Andersson and Urmo Aava both drove very clever on Portugal. Let us hope that they do same fantastic run on this round also. Other Suzuki drivers are J. Molder, V. Rozukas, and A. Pars will enter.
On May 17th 18:00, at Arzachena ceremonial start will be held. From 18th, stages will start. Total length 1,061.84km, SS total 342.86km. Please watch out on Suzuki!
